Railways deploys addl trains between Jammu-Katra sectors | KNO

Srinagar, Sep 02 (KNO): Northern Railway on Tuesday announced the resumption of several train services to facilitate the movement of stranded passengers between Jammu Tawi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Railway authorities told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), two shuttle services are already operating between Jammu Tawi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Additionally, a train under number 13152 Jammu Tawi–Kolkata and 12446 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–New Delhi are currently running. From September 06, the 12472/12474/12476/12478 Swaraj Group trains will resume services. Train number 12414 Jammu Tawi–Ajmer Junction will restart from September 7, 2025, while train number 22478 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–New Delhi will also resume on the same date. Furthermore, train numbers 16032/16318/16788 group services will restart operations from September 8, 2025. Northern Railway has advised passengers to check real-time updates through the NTES App or by calling the helpline number 139 before planning their journey. Railway officials said the resumption of services is aimed at clearing the rush of stranded passengers and restoring normal movement in the region after recent disruptions caused by adverse weather conditions—(KNO)
